OVERVIEW
This project involved producing the lead photography for a feature highlight section in a regional magazine. We worked closely with the editorial team to create visuals that anchored the story and set the tone for the entire spread. By focusing on clean compositions and intentional lighting, we provided high quality assets that translate effectively from a digital screen to a high gloss print page for readers.
OBJECTIVE
To create a cohesive set of images that follow a specific editorial narrative. The goal was to provide the art director with a variety of shots—including wide openers and tight details—that allow for flexible layout design and text placement within the magazine highlight section.
APPROACH
We focused on the technical requirements of print media while maintaining a strong visual story.
- We composed shots with ample negative space to accommodate headlines, pull quotes, and body text.
- We maintained a uniform color grade across all images to ensure the multi page spread felt unified and professional.
- We captured the technicians in action to maintain a sense of authenticity and hard work.
- In post production, we focused on true to life colors and clarity to ensure the paint depth and cleanliness looked realistic.
OUTCOME
The project provided the brand with a versatile set of images for their website and social media. It highlights their expertise in deep cleaning and helps them stand out in the Oregon automotive market as a shop that does not cut corners.
